Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. The majority of her youth listening to music from the past Boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs, as well older classical songs. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, but she started intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved in America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing keeps her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations in keeping the music in the present.
